DEPARTMENT CONVENES THE POSTMAN COMMITTEE TODAY
Dear Comrades!
The main talks between the Department and the Postal JCA failed on 27th due to blind decision of Department to go ahead with the implementation of McKinsey recommendations. However, along with the main discussion, the meeting of the Postman Committee is also slated to be held today. Comrade Ishwar Singh Dabas General Secretary will be attending the above meeting today. Important issues like fixing a distance factor for each Postman beat etc will be discussed in that meeting. Earlier, the Official Side was not in favour of fixing any norm for distance of a beat. Let us find out today. The CHQ is firm on this issue. Irrespective of the outcome of this meeting, the preparations for the Indefinite Strike from 5.7.2011 shall be kept in tact and intensified.
