recommendations of Kamalesh Chandra
Committee on Gramin DakSevaks.
2. Scrap NPS and restore old Pension Scheme
for officials recruited after 01.01.2004.
3. Grant higher pay scale to Postmen enhancing
qualification to (+2).
4. Increase Minimum pay and fitment factor and
grant higher pay scale to MTS and
corresponding increase to others.
5. Fill up all vacant posts. Create new posts to
cope up with the extra workload.
6. Stop outsourcing by engaging Outsourced
Postal Agency (OPA) for delivery of COD
Parcels and Speed Posts.
7. Declare result of Membership Verification
already conducted and conduct GDS
membership verification.
8. Stop harassment of Postmen Staff by
imposing unrealistic and unscientific business
target for RD, SB, PLI etc.
9. Implement cadre restructuring for Postmen &
MTS staff.
10. Abolish all delivery hubs
